What happens to my pet during showings?
When we first meet with a home owner to begin the process of selling their home, we always ask them what is most important to them. Most would assume that it’s selling for a high price. Perhaps it’s selling their home quickly. You’d be surprised at how often the major concern is how their pets will be treated during showings. This is why, at Zimmerman Property Group, we always ask about pets. Not only are we all animal lovers, we understand that pets are members of the family too. That’s why their comfort is top of mind for us during the selling process.
The Escape Artist
Does your cat love to dart out the door? That’s not a problem for us. All of the agents on our team are versed on the specifics of the property before each showing. They are alerted to any animals and their quirks. One of our sellers had this kind of cat. Every showing we went to, we double checked all doors when entering and leaving. We practiced extra caution. The only odd part was that we never saw the cat. Not during the showings. Not during the inspection. Not on move-out day. So, just know that we’ll take care of your pets, even if they are invisible.
The Old Grouch
Do you have an older pet that doesn’t take kindly to change? We get it. We can give them their space by ensuring they’re contained in a low traffic room like a dining room or bonus room. That way they don’t have to deal with a bunch of strangers. If they’re an old snake who doesn’t take kindly to strangers or sunlight, we’ll make sure that they’re terrarium is covered with a blanket before showings so that they aren’t disturbed.
The Loud Mouth
Some dogs have a lot of opinions. We get that. With us, they totally have a safe space to speak up. Don’t worry about if your dog barks a lot. We’ll bring treats and prepare any potential buyers for the barrage of yips that they can expect. We may even throw in a few belly rubs to quiet them.
Selling your home can be stressful. You’ll need to take some extra steps to get your home show ready. Zimmerman Property Group will ease your worry by always ensuring that your pets are well taken care of.
